Councillor Andam struggled to breathe as the enraged grip of the Dark Dragon tightened around his throat, suspending him over a chasm that he knew was nearly a mile deep.
"Where. Is. She?" Dark Dragon snarled, purple claws digging into Andam's neck.
"I ..." He choked. "I don't know!"
"Don't give me that! I know how you work, the council would never lose track of Audra because of the power she holds! Tell me where she is or I'll break another wing!"
That was the reason for Andam's fear of Dark Dragon dropping him, not only was one wing broken, but the membranes of all his wings had been torn to ribbons. If he survived this, his wings would heal ... In the meantime, he took advantage of Dark Dragons' anger and wrapped his tail around a small tree growing from the chasm wall, hoping it would support his weight if he was dropped.
"She was ..." Andam gasped for air. "supposed to be sent to a dimension just out of phase with this one." He wheezed. "She is not there!"
A notion flitted through the mind of Dark Dragon, causing his face to darken and a trickle of red to leak in his gold eyes. Andam watched the darkening expression and knew his end was near.
"Tell me the names of the wizards you hired!" Dark Dragon snapped as his wings snapped open and were visible above his head.
"I do not know!" Andam gasped as the grip around his throat tightened. "Chang hired them!"
Dark Dragon's face didn't change, but Andam saw the effect his words had in his eyes. It was as though a thousand atomic bombs had exploded. With a wordless snarl, Dark Dragon released Andam and sprung into the sky. The branch held Andam's weight until he was rescued an hour later.

Well, I gotta say I'm proud of this one. The lighting, the shadows, the cliffs. And look, I actually managed to draw a semblance of emotion on their faces, woo hoo!
Sequel to This, and once i get a few more up with, y'know ... events leading up to this and events after, so that it actually looks like a story, I'll organize them and put page number links so they're in order. Until then, the pictures and drabbles will be random.
